VirginiaSummerCamp.com Opens Reviews for 2026 Parent-Approved Camps

Virginia parents can help their favorite summer camps earn recognition by submitting verified reviews through Oct. 15

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — Sept. 10, 2026 — VirginiaSummerCamp.com is now accepting parent reviews for its 2026 class of Parent-Approved Camps, a new recognition celebrating Virginia summer camps based on reviews from the parents who know them best.

Parents can submit reviews from Sept. 1 through Oct. 15 by visiting their camp’s page on VirginiaSummerCamp.com and sharing a star rating and a few words about their child’s experience.

To earn the Parent-Approved Camp seal, a camp must collect at least 10 verified reviews from parents and maintain an average rating of 4.8 stars or higher. The recognition is free for camps and is driven entirely by families — not by paid placement or editorial selection.

“Parents know firsthand what makes a camp experience special for their children, and their experiences can be incredibly helpful to another family trying to find the right fit,” said Jennifer Bryerton, publisher and editor-in-chief of VirginiaSummerCamp.com. “A Parent-Approved Camp gives families a way to share those experiences while celebrating the camps that are creating wonderful summers for Virginia kids.”

The seal gives families a quick, trustworthy signal while they navigate one of the bigger decisions of the year — where to send their kids for the summer. Recognized camps may display the 2026 Parent-Approved Camp badge on their websites, social media, and printed materials through the 2027 season.

The full list of 2026 Parent-Approved Camps will be available on December 5, 2026.
