Work with VCWP through our program provider, RappahannockRESPONSIBILITIES:
As a WIOA Adult Case Manager, you'll make a meaningful difference in people's lives by coordinating essential services with various agencies, training providers, One-Stop Center staff, and employers. You'll provide ongoing support and career counseling throughout participants' enrollment, documenting all interactions and progress in the Individual Service Strategy (ISS). Your guidance will help participants overcome barriers and achieve their career goals while ensuring proper processing of paperwork, invoices, and documentation for job training and workforce development activities. This position is full-time, 32 hours per week, Monday - Thursday.
- Maintain comprehensive client files and records to track progress and outcomes
- Determine eligibility for adults, dislocated workers and/or youth seeking program services
- Provide personalized job search assistance and develop transition plans to unsubsidized employment
- Deliver individualized case management, standardized assessments, and career counseling while completing follow-up reports
- Collaborate with clients to develop effective service strategies aligned with their career goals
- Ensure each participant receives appropriate training and education for their career success
- Build and nurture strong business relationships within the communities we serve
- Connect with employers to develop employment and training opportunities for program participants
- Accurately calculate costs for training, work experience, and/or supportive services
- Process and submit all necessary forms, bills, invoices, and related paperwork
- Perform other duties as assigned to support program and participant success
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
Education/Training:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 1+ years of experience in social work/rehabilitation or working with individuals with employment barriers preferred
- Good written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and partners
- Strong digital proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite, cloud-based computing, and online data-tracking systems
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple client cases effectively
- Valid Virginia Driver's License (driving record must be acceptable to RGI's insurance carrier)
Physical Demands:
- Ability to stand and move around for extended periods. Ability to climb, talk, hear, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, handle, carry, push, pull, and lift objects up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions:
- Professional office environment with occasional travel (including use of personal car) and variable work schedule to accommodate client needs.
