Marketing & Events Coordinator

Position Overview:
The Marketing & Events Coordinator is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies and managing a portfolio of events that support the Chamber’s mission. This role will play a critical part in promoting Chamber members, programs, and services, and our vibrant business community; enhancing the Chamber's visibility, profile, and reach; and coordinating and executing quality events. 

Report to: President & CEO 

Key Responsibilities:

Marketing & Communications

  • Develop compelling and relevant content for various platforms including email newsletters, social media, website, press releases, and marketing collateral
  • Manage and consistently update the Chamber website content
  • Design and produce high-quality marketing materials
  • Execute email marketing campaigns
  • Manage and optimize social media presence, including content scheduling, community engagement, and monitoring analytics
  • Development and implement digital advertising campaigns as needed
  • Draft and distribute press releases to local media outlets to promote Chamber initiatives, events, and member news
  • Ensure consistent application of Chamber branding guidelines across all marketing materials and communications
  • Monitor and maintain the Chamber's online reputation
  • Track and analyze marketing campaign performance, providing regular reports to the CEO with insights and recommendations for improvement
Event Planning & Management
  • Collaborate with the CEO to identify, plan, and execute a diverse calendar of Chamber-hosted events
  • Manage all aspects of event logistics and on-site management
  • Provide support to events hosted, planned and executed by Affinity Groups
  • Create event budgets and timelines
  • Oversee event promotions and registration processes
  • Assist CEO in developing sponsorship packages and identifying event sponsors
  • Conduct post-event surveys and gather feedback to assess success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Analyze event ROI and provide post-event reports
Other Duties
  • Assist with the Ambassador Program
  • Other duties as assigned 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): tracked, reported and evaluated quarterly and annually based on social media, website, newsletter and member engagement; revenue generation.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree required; specialization in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Event Planning, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience in a professional setting; Experience working in a chamber of commerce or non-profit organization is a plus
  • Proven track record of successfully planning and executing a diversity of events
  • Demonstrated proficiency in marketing, communications, and events tools - Canva, WordPress, MailChimp, Google Analytics, Meta Insights, Constant Contact, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, etc.

Skills & Abilities:
  • Highly organized with the ability to efficiently manage multiple events and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to connect and comfortably work with diverse Chamber members and stakeholders
  • Proactive, resourceful and solution-oriented problem solver
  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

This is a full-time position, generally 9am-5pm, Monday through Friday. Must have reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.

Salary range: $45,000 to $55,000; commensurate with experience.
