Planning Assistant

ArkWise Wealth, a private wealth advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial in Charlottesville, VA, seeks a front-of-house Planning Assistant to join our team in the autumn of 2026. This is an in-person position in Charlottesville with an expected time commitment of between 25 and 40 hours per week. The pay starts at $22 an hour and may be higher, depending on experience.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Welcome clients, prospects, and associated professionals
  • Schedule and confirm client, prospect, vendor, professional meetings
  • Prepare conference rooms for meetings
  • Maintain office supplies, appearance, and order
  • Answer phones and direct calls appropriately
  • Process mail, deposit checks, and document receipt
  • Complete client service and compliance workflows
  • Prepare preliminary documents for financial planning team
  • Perform other allowable duties as assigned

Preferred Skills

  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Professional demeanor and client service experience
  • Securities Industry Essentials (SIE)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Proficiency in Salesforce CRM

Education and Other Designations

  • College degree or higher
  • 2+ years of similar experience
  • For job progression, prepared to study for and pass federal and state licenses and registrations for securities, including Series 7, Series 66, and state life, accident and health insurance licenses.

This is an in-person, front-of-house role. This person consistently delivers error-free work to clients, prospects, teammates, and related professionals. We are hiring someone who has made Charlottesville home and wants to grow and excel in this role.
