LCAA Hosts 'Courageous Conversations'
Panelists include Charlottesville Police Chief Dr. RaShall Brackney, Capt. Darrell Byers LC '20 and Capt. Sean Reeves LC '19 with the Albemarle County Police Department, and Don Gathers LC '18 with PHAR and the Black Lives Matter local chapter. One of the topics of discussion will center around the call by activists to defund the police. We'll also find out what police are doing to dismantle systemic racism within their departments and how they're positively engaging marginalized communities. The discussion will be moderated by LCAA board member Scott Hamler LC '19.
Come ready to learn, be challenged and to share.
LCAA's Courageous Conversations series provides an opportunity for graduates of Leadership Charlottesville to engage with members of the alumni association, discussing relevant issues impacting our community and nation, challenging us as leaders to effect change within our communities and beyond.
