Welcome to CharlottesvilleFamily’s KidFest & Camp Expo! This is the best place to be to find Virginia summer camps! Our in-person event will be held at the YMCA on March 1, 2026 from 10am – 2pm. (Vendor set-up is 7am-9am.) Mark your calendar now!

Here, you can explore all of the amazing camps featured at this year’s KidsFest & Camp Expo, including camps all throughout Charlottesville, Albemarle and the Mid-Atlantic. We’ve included helpful information on how to choose a summer camp, camp photos and videos, and a way for you to contact each camp director to learn even more about the many exciting opportunities available for your kids this summer.

The Idea Lab: Practical Inspiration for Parents
Short, engaging talks and live demos created specifically for parents and caregivers.
- Bite-sized talks and demos throughout the day
- Export insight from local educators, business owners, and family-focused organizations
- A relaxed setting where parents and learn, ask questions, and gather ideas–without committing to a long session
Throughout the day, you’ll find short, engaging sessions led by local educators, coaches, artists, and youth performers. From quick how-to workshops and parent tips on everything from homework strategies to college savings, to student showcases in STEM, dance, music, and theater, the Idea Lab offers something meaningful for every age and stage.
The Energy Zone: Move, Play, Repeat
Designed to help kids burn energy and try something new, this area will feature hands-on movement experiences led by CharlottesvilleFamily partner organizations. While kids play, parents can explore Expo knowing their children and actively and happily engaged.

- High-energy, age-appropriate activities that keep kids engaged and smiling
Parking: Overflow parking is available at Charlottesville High School. Overflow parking at CHS Baseball Field (use GPS). It is a 5 minute walk on a trail to the YMCA (fyi, it is paved, it is uphill). Follow the green balloons! We expect the day to be busy—carpooling is a great idea!
