DMR Adventures Presents: Broadway at The Paramount

Broadway at the Paramount will bring together Broadway artists, over 100 students from DMR Adventures, and local talent for two incredible performances in celebration of arts education. The show stars Broadway veteran and Charlottesville native, Keven Quillon (My Fair Lady, Bandstand, Annie, Shrek, Grease), and features songs and scenes from Matilda, A Year With Frog and Toad, Songs for a New World, Seussical, Singin’ in the Rain, Mean Girls, Finding Nemo, and more! The stars of the DMR Adventures JTF Troupe will present their award-winning piece from James and the Giant Peach, and the youngest stars from the YAS! Youth After School program will make their debut on the Paramount stage.

KEVEN QUILLON is originally from Charlottesville, Virginia and just recently finished up with the First National Tour of Lincoln Center’s My Fair Lady. His Broadway credits include: My Fair Lady (Lincoln Center), Bandstand, A Christmas Story, Annie, Shrek: The Musical, and Grease. Off- Broadway: The Unsinkable Molly Brown. First National Tours: A Christmas Story, Shrek: The Musical, Grease, Sweet Charity, Saturday Night Fever, We Will Rock You (Las Vegas), White Christmas (LA). Regional credits include: Paper Mill Playhouse (Bandstand), Denver Center (The Unsinkable Molly Brown), Sacramento Music Circus (Grease, Crazy for You, Beauty and the Beast), Maltz Jupiter Theater (Joseph) Goodspeed (A Sign of the Times). Broadway Workshops/Labs include: The Outsiders, Bandstand, Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion, A Sign of the Times, Leap Of Faith, and An Officer and A Gentleman. Original Cast Recordings: The Unsinkable Molly Brown, My Fair Lady, Bandstand, Annie, Grease, Shrek: The Musical. TV appearances include: Modern Love (Amazon Prime), The Tony Awards, The Today Show, Good Morning America, The Macy’s Day Parade, The Hollywood Christmas Parade, and The Rose Parade dancing back-up for Leann Rimes. Keven is also a proud graduate of James Madison University with a BA in English and Musical Theater with a teaching certification in secondary education.

ABOUT DMR ADVENTURES

DMR Adventures has been providing professional performing arts training from the professionals since 2009. The high caliber of training serves to drive passion, discipline, and commitment in the students with whom we work. DMR is comprised of several pre-professional programs, a touring competition team, an after school program (YAS!), a youth leadership program, over 15 summer camps, and year-round training programs, some of which culminate in a Mainstage season of performances. As a result of our exceptional training, our students have gone on to top musical theatre conservatories and university training programs, and to perform in film, television, theme parks, and national tours!

We believe in making performances and classes accessible to all, and our classes, camps, and tickets are on a sliding scale to help our entire community participate. We are proud to have provided more than $180,000 in scholarships and discounts to students in need, including $92,000 between 2020 and 2022 alone!
