This award recognizes a woman with a powerful commitment to assisting others in their personal and/or professional development.
Award Description
The Distinguished Mentor Award recognizes a woman of the greater Charlottesville region who demonstrates a powerful commitment to leading or advising others in a manner that will assist them in their personal and/or professional development. She can operate at any level within her organization and exudes sincere dedication in the education and evolution of others. She is established in her career, inspiring, empowering and supportive, such that her influence has had a notable impact in her business, organization or community in a significant way.
Award Criteria (1)
The nominee may be an employee of an existing for-profit company, non-profit organization, or a self-employed professional. A professional license is not required for this category; however, the nominee should be an experienced professional and have been working in a professional environment for at least ten years. Nominees for this award do NOT have to be Chamber members.
Award Criteria (2)
The nominee must demonstrate leadership and a willingness to teach and mentor others in her profession, consistently upholding the standards and ethics that govern her field.
