Cognitive Skills: Why They Matter and How Brain Training Can Help
Dargan Coggeshall, President of LearningRx Charlottesville, will discuss key cognitive skills and why they matter as we age. He'll be joined by a certified LearningRx brain trainer to demonstrate - with the help of a few volunteers - the brain exercises LearningRx uses to strengthen any weak skills in their adult and actively aging clients. These research-based procedures help adult clients improve their attention, memory, thinking speed, problem solving, etc.
We'll also learn about the Gibson Test of Cognitive Skills and how to interpret results.
The mission of the Chamber Aging in Place Business Network is to provide education about local businesses and services that support personal choice and vitality in the second half of life, and to provide a forum to develop relationships with the members of the roundtable who serve in that community.
