DESCRIPTION:The State of the Community will be held as scheduled. Allow yourself plenty of travel time to PVCC and please be safe. \n\n\n\nThe Chamber's Public Policy Committee invites you to gather for a dynamic discussion with local decision makers\, focusing on the regional business climate and opportunities for the upcoming year. This year's meeting will be held at the new state of the art Woodrow W. Bolick Advanced Technology and Student Success Center (The Bolick Center). \n\n\n\nThe State of the Community will be moderated by Public Policy Committee Chairwoman Dr. Mariane Asad Doyle\, Executive Director of the Center for Nonprofit Excellence.\n\n\n\nSpeakers include: \n\nSam Sanders\, Jr\, City Manager\, City of Charlottesville\n\nJeff Richardson\, Executive\, Albemarle County\n\nAntwon Brinson\, CEO\, Culinary Concepts AB\n\nHamilton Lombard\, Estimates Program Manager\, Weldon Cooper Center\n\n\n\nBreakfast\, catered by A Seat At The Table Events\, will be served starting at 8am. \n\n\n\nThe Chamber and Public Policy Committee would like to give a big thank you to our venue host and breakfast sponsor: \n\n \n\n\n\nand our media sponsor\, Charlottesville TV10: \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe Public Policy Committee serves as a legislative and regulatory think tank for the Chamber Board of Directors and the many roundtables and councils of the Chamber\, to help inform the organization's advocacy efforts and initiatives. The committee also reviews legislative action and\, when necessary\, recommends action to the Chamber Board of Directors. Only the Board of Directors can decide whether the Chamber will take a formal position on issues of public policy. The Public Policy Committee and Chamber of Commerce DO NOT endorse candidates for office.
