We built this place for people to learn\, taste\, and experience fresh local sake. We offer brewery tours where people can see the art of sake making\, learn about the history of sake\, and the Japanese culture. We offer to tasting flights\, pours\, and bottles of sake. We have incredible Japanese fusion cuisine to pair with the sakes we make here. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun because sake is fun! We hope you visit us soon. Kanpai!\n\n \n\n\nAndrew Centofante is the owner and head brewer (Toji) of North American Sake Brewery. Andrew first fell in love with sake on a trip to Japan where he was exposed to high quality for the first time. He made it a hobby to seek out new styles and varieties of sake and to attune his palette to this wonderful beverage. One fateful night after having several glasses of sake he wondered if he could make a home-brew batch\, just like he had done with beer for many years. This sent Andrew down a rabbit hole of research and experimentation that turned one homebrew batch into many as he fell in love with brewing sake. Koji was the first thing that completely arrested his attention\, the aroma and flavor that came from growing this incredible fungus enthralled him. He traveled the country and to Japan to learn more about this craft and eventually lead them to open North American Sake Brewery in the fall of 2018. Currently\, the first and only sake brewery in Virginia\, NAS serves freshly brewed sake to hundreds of people weekly and Andrew spends his days brewing and evangelizing his love of the ancient beverage.\n\n\nThe Charlottesville Chamber Rising Professionals strive to make connections with young professionals through business development and community engagement.
