Since it began in January 2012\, the Council has experienced much success and growth and we recognize that there are enterprises and individuals who have contributed to the Council to help make this possible. Many of these enterprises also promote diversity within their business environment. At this luncheon\, we will recognize them. This luncheon will also provide networking opportunities with diverse business groups from our community. Pamela Sutton Wallace\, President & CEO of the University of Virginia Health System\, will give the keynote address. \n\n\n\nWe are also excited to introduce the John F. Bell Sr. Vanguard Award. named for the founder of the JF Bell Funeral Home\, one of Charlottesville's oldest and most successful businesses. The recipient of this new award is a business visionary who promotes diversity within the business community and gives of his/her time to develop new entrepreneurs and business leaders.\n\nThis event\, and the award\, named after a prominent and successful business man of color\, is the first of its kind for this Chamber of Commerce.
